The other day I was talking to my cousin about what her kids were going to be for Halloween this year and we started to reminisce about when we were growing up.
I started thinking about some of the costumes I wore growing up, and then I found this picture…Yep, that’s me, a bag of Jelly Beans! Nothing fancy, but a fun idea…
I guess I was into food even back then! Some of my favorite Halloween memories always included going over to my Aunt Barbra’s house in the evening to celebrate her birthday.
My cousins would get together and go trick-or-treating in her neighborhood and then come back and exchange candy. One of my favorite pieces to get in my treat bag was the Reese’s peanut butter cups! Taaastyyy! Of course the popcorn balls and Butterfingers were also up there, too!
So, what do you do with all the left over candy that didn’t get exchanged? Well, I found a recipe that our Test Kitchen came up with that is brilliant! It’s called Halloween Candy Bars, a perfect way to use up the leftover candy and turn it into something even tastier!
Try it and see, the recipe is also found in our Halloween eCookbook, free to download. And if you want more recipes that are perfect for using your leftover Halloween candy, click here.
