Growing up I lived on the words of cooking show hosts and held onto recipes like they were bible verses. So when it came time to make my very favorite meal of the day I was so excited to start with the all time best- PANCAKES! However, I could never get it JUST right. Pancakes are definitely an art form that needs to be mastered- just brown enough, not doughy, but not too dry, and how much fruit can you add before it becomes a gloppy mess? Well the big secret is…yogurt. The acid in the yogurt combined with the baking powder creates a “Bubble effect”. This combination rises the pancakes while keeping them nice and fluffy! Winners each and every time. So if you’re a novice chef worried about eminent failure, don’t be! Keep this trick in mind and cook up that special good morning meal every kid (and adult) deserves!
