I love going out to dinner. Before we had children, my hubby and I would not think twice about driving an hour (each way) to try some new, out-of-the-way restaurant. Now when we go out, we calculate how much it is going to cost us to pay the babysitter, before we even think about dinner. So, spending time driving is just not always worth it. We could take the kids with us, but have you been to a restaurant with a 15-month old? It’s not for the faint of heart.
Thanks to the Mr. Food Test Kitchen, we have plenty of copycat recipes from restaurants that are just as good, if not better than, the real thing. One of my favorite go-to’s is Fast Chicken Fajitas. I just make a package of yellow rice on the side and dinner is served – and we didn’t have to wait for a table.
