A Special Visit from the Ghost Whisperer

If you’re familiar with the show, “The Ghost Whisperer,” then maybe you’re thinking Jennifer Love Hewitt came to visit our office.

Wrong!

Yes, Jennifer Love Hewitt played her on TV, but it was the real Ghost Whisperer – or the woman whose life the show was based on – who came to visit the Mr. Food offices last week. Her name is Mary Ann Winkowski, and she came to tape some shows with Art (Mr. Food) and to talk to us about her new cookbook. That’s right, the Ghost Whisperer herself wrote a cookbook! Can you guess where the recipes came from?

If you guessed that the recipes came from ghosts Mary Ann has been in contact with throughout her life, you were correct! That’s Mary Ann’s gift: She can communicate with earthbound spirits. It’s so incredible to read about all of the recipes that these spirits told her at one point or another. Every recipe in the book comes with the story of how that particular recipe was passed onto Mary Ann. I absolutely loved reading all of the stories!

I got the chance to interview Mary Ann and ask her about the cookbook, and we taped it so that you can watch, too! We won’t be releasing it on MrFood.com until Mary Ann’s shows with Art go on-air, so you’ll have to stay tuned to learn more.
